President's Challenge 5A-side Soccer.
National Stadium still looks fine, with a really nice field. It is so flat and nice to kick on! We're really fortunate to play there :D Thanks to zhiwei's dad who sponsored us for the competition!
I think we sound pro.
Ladies Open:
Ayer Rajah West Coast CSC A&B. Haha!
After so long, we finally got to play on the field again! But lack of training was super evident by our sub-standard performance for our first game. Ass had to resort to calling us idiots. Haha. It was really a waste for both of our teams to be in the same group, (with only 3 teams, cause there was a walkover team) when I think both teams should make it through the 1st round. But ya, its a competition, so my team was lucky enough to get through.
And guess what, haha, we got straight into semi-finals. What a joke! Lol. Thanks to the screwed fixtures we managed to get 4th. Aiya, our 3rd/4th placing was a tough fight, hmm, thought we could draw that game to bring it into penalties, but had to make up for the mistake we made.
Nevertheless, like what prong said, we should still feel very proud of ourselves because we are the very few chinese who always dares to take part in such open competitions. Fighting against really strong players from outside clubs despite lacking in skills like the others. Yay, so I must say that our spirit is definitely worth the applause eh!
Haha, after the comp we saw a celebrity team and took pictures with espn match reviewers, John Dykes and (I forgot his name). Haha cool! It was really funny cause we were trying to identify and recognise who acted in whatever show. (Refer to winni's blog for CEO joke) Lol. Most of the girls left while some of us stayed for prize presentation. Managed to watch Celebrity vs Minister match. Entertaining eh, and both teams are good, considering that they are quite old. Haha.
We shook hands with Dr Balakrishnan and I bet Ass is damn happy la. Hahaha. The lady mps even shook our hands, saying that they should learn from us and play more soccer.
Lol, hey, promote girls soccer to be national schools sports la! Woo, after all the rahrah, we got stopped to film for some ending video of the closing of national stadium. So malu cause we were made to shout "Bye bye national stadium" to the camera. Haha, I think we look spastic! But, what an experience!
I don't know when will be the next time I'll step on the field again. I hope it'll be soon. But soon = A's coming too, its scary. I'm totally unprepared. Arh.
This will be the last soccer comp before A's comes because I promised my parents that it'll be my last. (If not I'll wreak havok again) And ironically, to mark the end of my competive soccer career (before A's), managed to get a medal. Because, for the start of my 2007 soccer career, I got another medal for a beach soccer comp (with shan, prong, ass, joyce). So much to start and end it.
